This faja will be placed on you just after your surgery while you are still asleep. This garment is worn for the first 6 weeks after surgery. Its primary goal is to prevent swelling, bleeding and excessive bruising. This garment provides compressions (light, not excessive), and should be removed during the day, only at physicians orders. Wearing a cotton t-shirt next to your skin may help to maximize comfort. Wearing this will also reduce tension on incision lines to minimize risk of abnormal scarring.
